Traditional Christmas
In the midst of December as Christmas Eve approaches and the nordic nights are long and dark, we light up the candles in our restaurant and offer a traditional Swedish Christmas dinner to indulge in the yuletide festivities. The houses embedded in snow, the Christmas tree decorated in red and gold and familiar Christmas scents trickling out from our kitchen. Spend your weekend in our magical winter wonderland at Hotel Amalias Hus, and enjoy an extraordinary service and first-class accommodation in an exclusive 18th century environment.
ABOUT THE OFFER
Watch the snow fall down outside, light the candles in the tiled stove in your room and enjoy good glass of wine and a good book. Or why not enjoy a steaming hot bath by booking a room with a jacuzzi.
In the evening you are invited to the hotel's intimate restaurant. Here you'll we served gluhwine before commencing at our "Traditional Swedish Christmas Table".The Christmas table at Hotel Amalias Hus is served at your table in the form of a dazzling three-course dinner with home-made herring, Christmas ham, jam, Swedish meatballs, sausage, ribs, smoked and cured salmon, gravlax, Jansson's, homemade pies, rye bread, and much more that belongs to traditional Swedish Christmas.
After the you are through with the hot dishes, it's time for our most appreciated and generous buffét of desserts, sweets and cheeses.
On the day of departure breakfast awaits, and before you leave Gränna you can replenish the Christmas feel with a stroll along the snow-covered cobbled streets and the city's candy cane bakeries.
